The club will be collection for the Whittlesey Emergencey Food Bank. So the next time you go shopping, please consider buying an extra tin or two to put in the box at the club, if you can afford it.

I have been a member of the club for more years than I can remember. I have seen it change and I have seen members come and go. The joy of target shooting is such a stress relief for me.
Range Improvements
Did you notice the changes to the range in our last post?
Over the Easter weekend our volunteers were hard at work on range improvements again and have updated firing points 4 and 5 to now have folding benches, removing the old, tired shooting bays. The whole range is now much more open and easy to use for everyone.
Thank you to all involved, a great job as always!
If you are interested in taking up shooting, please send us a message, we would love to hear from you.
Easter Weekend Activities
Over the Easter weekend we hosted members of Whittlesey 41 Club and ran guest day at the range. It was great to see everyone enjoying taking part in some of the different types of shooting we can do at the club. We hope to see everyone again soon!
If you are interested bringing a local group to the club for a guest day, please get in touch as we can talk you through the process.
Happy Easter to all!
A reminder to our probationary members: the range is only open to full members on bank Holidays. There will be no club night tomorrow, we will be back to normal from Tuesday, see you there!

Attention young shooters!
As a club we are passionate about introducing new people to shooting and we regularly run open days and guest days to introduce new people to this amazing sport.
For this reason we have taken the decision to purchase a new ‘youth’ rifle which is specifically designed to be used by younger people while shooting, it is a single shot .22LR rifle and has a shorter stock so people of all sizes can safely use it.
We are often asked, how old do people need to be to shoot, we don’t have a set age at our club, we normally suggest around 10 or 11 but we have introduced younger people in the past, the two main things we look for are:
1) How mature is the shooter?
2) Is the shooter physically able to safely control a rifle?
This rifle will allow people who are mature enough to take part in our sport but aren’t large enough or physically strong enough to use an adult sized rifle to take their first steps into shooting.
If you or someone you know is interested in trying shooting, please send us a message and we would be happy to talk to you about next steps!

Friday Night is Prone Night
Friday night is .22RF rifle at 25 yards in the prone position night.
If you fancy trying this skill, then please come down to the range!
Trophy Cabinet
The Trophy cabinet is now back on the wall in the Club Room, and the remaining trophies are also back on the shelf.
We are currently thinking about adding new competitions for our members to compete in, so that we can get names on trophies again. If you’ve got any ideas, then let your captain or committee member know.
